Every pastry, plate of pasta, every cocktail and cone of gelato in Italy is a work of art.  The richly embellished floors, walls and ceilings of museums are as notable and noteworthy as the masterpieces hanging within them.  An art-on-art theme quickly emerged for this series; taking all that is archetypal and transforming it into kaleidoscopic compositions from unique vantage points to convey a joyful and generous opulence: A cathedral dome as seen from an ornate museum window or a rendition of Botticelli’s Venus against a backdrop of spaghetti.  With a palette inspired by watching cheese shredded on fettuccine melt into the infamous alfredo dish and the brilliant orange and red of spritzes sipped on a rooftop overlooking St. Peter’s Basilica, From Roma to Firenze celebrates the abundant beauty of the Italian experience.
